McDaniel Park Pump Track, Pavilion and Playground

Connecting Community Through McDaniel Park

McDaniel Park is being transformed into a more connected, accessible, and experience-driven destination for the Springfield community, creating a space where people of all ages and abilities can move easily through the park, stay active, and engage with their surroundings in new ways.

At the center of the project is the addition of a pump track, designed as a safe, inclusive, and low-maintenance amenity that encourages recreation for users of all skill levels. Combined with upgrades to existing infrastructure and improved circulation, the park will offer a more seamless and enjoyable experience for visitors, whether they’re exploring trails, staying active, or simply spending time outdoors.

Integrated with the Ozark Greenways system, the project expands access to active transportation and strengthens connections to the region’s growing network of trail-based public spaces. OWN is supporting these improvements through site design, stormwater design, grading, drainage, surveying, permitting, and coordination with the Park Board and design team, helping bring a vision to life that will serve the community for years to come.

Construction is anticipated to begin in summer of 2026, with completion expected by early 2027, marking a meaningful investment in recreation, connectivity, and quality of life for Springfield residents.
