I-70 Drilling

Laying the Groundwork for a Safer I-70 Corridor

Stretching 18 miles from Blue Springs to Odessa, Missouri, the I-70 Improvement Project represents a significant infrastructure investment for the hundreds of thousands travellers who utilize this critical corridor annually. Led by MoDOT, the project will add an additional lane of travel in each direction, replace pavement and interchanges, and reconstruct 14 bridges, all to enhance safety, improve traffic flow, and reduce congestion for daily drivers.

OWN was selected to provide drilling services that will lay the foundation for these improvements. The scope includes 177 borings for walls, pavement, and bridges, marking the largest drilling effort OWN has undertaken in a single year. The fast-paced schedule will require a tremendous amount of collaboration and responsiveness as the team works to complete this crucial project for a safer and more efficient I-70 corridor.
