Warrensburg Public Schools

Boosting capacity, safety, and accessibility.

As the times change and communities grow, schools need to change with them.

This was precisely the case for the Warrensburg School District in Warrensburg, Missouri. Growing enrollment required alterations be made to three of its elementary schools.

OWN, Inc. worked with Hollis + Miller Architects of Kansas City, Missouri, to provide Civil Engineering and Land Surveying services on the series of projects.

At Maple Grove Elementary, OWN helped design site development for a small building addition. The team worked to solve challenges with the existing grading to attach to existing sidewalks and utilities to serve the classrooms.

At Ridge View, the team helped redesign the relocation of bus dropoff/pickup lane, as well as assisting with grading and American with Disabilities Act (ADA) transitions to increase accessibility.

And finally, at Martin Warren Elementary, OWN assisted with the relocation of ADA Parking at the front of the building. Also included, a secure double entrance to help control access to the building.

All told, OWN helped the Warrensburg School District make necessary updates to three of its elementary schools, adding capacity, safety, and accessibility in the process.
