Prospect Village Multi-Use Complex

Project Profile:

What was once a long-vacant industrial site is being reimagined into one of Joplin’s most impactful developments. OWN is leading the master-planning, design, and ongoing development of Prospect Village, a 78-acre mixed-use redevelopment on the former International Paper site. The project will transform the property into a destination featuring a regional sports complex, housing, parks, trails, and retail. Our team is providing civil design, site layout, utility planning, and field services – including geotechnical investigations, soil testing, construction inspection, and GIS coordination – to support the development of multi-sport fields, parking, and related infrastructure.

Through this work, OWN is shaping land use, circulation, and utility strategies to guide phased build-out across the site through 2032. The plan establishes a clear framework for the placement of sports facilities, residential and commercial development, and connected public spaces, while aligning infrastructure with funding mechanisms and site constraints. This integrated approach helps ensure long-term feasibility and brings a cohesive vision to life for the community. This work is helping lay the foundation for a development that will shape Joplin’s future for years to come.
