Project Profile:

The Elm Branch Road Bridge over Elm Branch in Pettis County, Missouri, was in need of some attention. The OWN, Inc. team led the bridge replacement of a structurally deficient single span steel girder bridge over Elm Branch. The bridge was on a low volume road but critical for locals to traverse to and from town.

Services the OWN engineering team performed as part of the bridge reconstruction included:

  • Surveying
  • Permitting
  • Right-of-way documents and acquisition assistance
  • Preparation of preliminary, right-of-way, and final plans
  • Specifications
  • Construction estimate
  • Critical component construction observation

The new structure is a single span prestressed concrete girder bridge and now provides safe passage for drivers and horse-drawn vehicles.
